According to the AJC, Sonserea Dawn Evans is accused of spiking her co-worker?s drink with methamphetamine, an act that authorities said left the 37-year-old man comatose.

?At one point,? Dawson County Sheriff?s Office Capt. Tony Wooten said, ?[the co-worker] required a feeding tube and ventilator.?

After being called to the Waffle House Dec. 23rd to treat an employee who was suffering from a medical emergency, authorities soon learned of a video that existed that showed a woman take the man?s drink toward the bathroom when he went outside.

Waffle House management gave the video to authorities, which reportedly shows the woman returning the beverage and him drinking it.

The man, who was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, ?is still under medical care,? Wooten said Wednesday.

The woman in the video ?was immediately terminated,? Waffle House spokesman Pat Warner told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Warner said Waffle House was cooperating with the authorities in their investigation.

?Our main focus,? he said, ?is for our associate who is still in the hospital.?

Sonserea Dawn Evans, 43, of Cumming, was subsequently arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and aggravated battery. It is not clear why she allegedly spiked her co-worker?s drink and she is not cooperating with investigators.

Evans is in the Dawson County Detention Center. Bond had not been set as of Wednesday morning.
