RECAP: 5 Things Revealed on #RHOA S8, Ep13 ‘Jamaican Beef Catty’…

The Real Housewives of Atlanta aired the 13th episode of it’s lackluster 8th season last night (January 31, 2016).

Last week we endured Kim Field’s controversial ‘Beatless’ brunch and were faced with drama brewing between Fields and former beauty queen Kenya Moore, who can’t leave home without her makeup case.

This week’s episode is titled ‘Jamaican Beef Catty’ and the ladies all embark on a trip to Jamaica and are finally reunited with OG Nene Leakes.

Bravo synopsis:

The ladies take over Jamaica with their men in tow for a little fun in the sun. NeNe surprises the girls on the island and creates an immediate rift between Kenya and Cynthia’s friendship. Meanwhile, back at home Kandi and Todd prepare for Baby Tucker’s arrival.

Kenya is devastated when Cynthia cuts her out of her plans for her eyewear commercial, and Kim gets heated when her directing credentials are questioned — revealing a very different side to her personality.

“Couples Only” + a “couple” of kids…

Cynthia Bailey plans a trip to Jamaica to film her ‘Bailey Eyewear’ commercial and decides to invite all of the ladies for a ‘couples only’ getaway.

[FLASHBACK:?RHOA Group Shot + Nene Leakes Confirms Return…?]

Kenya brings her rent-a-date, Sheree brings her ex-husband, Porsha brings her favorite thongs (but her Miami boo Oscar makes an appearance), Phaedra brings her one-liners (since she’s still VERY married and her husband is on his own 8 year ‘vacation) and Kim brings her husband, two kids AND a babysitter.

While Kim’s ‘additional baggage’ seems a bit out of the ordinary, she’s clearly focused on her family and if the kids aren’t in the way, I say more power to her

Gone With The Wind Crazy…

Cynthia decides to get Kim and Kenya together to discuss the concept for her commercial. ? While Kim already told Bailey last week that she doesn’t ‘co’ direct, Cynthia decides to give Kenya an opportunity to be involved anyway.

Kenya takes offense to Cynthia’s offer and feels that their ‘friendship’ should have came first, regarding Bailey’s decision.

While Bailey tries to explain her position, Moore focuses her wrath on Kim Fields, who she accuses trying to ‘alienate’ her from her ‘friend’.

Kenya?turns up and turns out during the sit down and displays the ‘ugly’ side that we’ve all become accustomed to.

Nene Returns… *for real this time*

Nene joins Cynthia in Jamaica and she and her husband Gregg surprise the group?during dinner.

Everyone seems pleasantly surprised by the ‘veteran’ housewife’s appearance EXCEPT Kenya, who is still steaming about Cynthia’s executive decision to work with Kim on her commercial.

When Nene reveals that she’s also going to be a part of Cynthia’s commercial, Kenya’s contacts almost pop out of her eyes! As everyone celebrates the joyful event, Peter asks that Kenya kills whatever ‘beef’ she has with Kim and that’s when Kenya’s ‘crazy’ rears it’s ugly head yet again…

“I would like to take a spoon and gouge my eyes out, than talk about that.?I would like to take one of these lanterns and set my eyes on fire, than to talk about that. ?Should I keep going?

I would rather hitchhike a truck and drive myself off a m*thfukkin cliff…”

As Kim attempts to clear the air, Kenya decides to take her rent-a-date and leave the table.

Kandi & Todd Prepare for Baby Tucker…

Kandi ditches the girl’s trip to Jamaica due to advice from her doctor and she and Todd spend a bit of quality time with their expanding family.

Last week, the couple took a few parenting classes since it’s been a while since either of them have been around a newborn and now that the date is drawing near, they discuss the need for a nanny.

Kandi, always the frugal one, feels that she has enough non-working family members to help.

Mama Joyce and the old lady gang are always available and as for the birth, Kandi suggests that Mama Joyce move in for a while to help out.

BFFN = “Best Friends FOR NOW”

After Kenya’s sudden departure, the group reveals that Kenya is mad because her ‘BFF’ decided to work with someone else.

Nene is shocked to hear that Kenya and Cynthia consider themselves BFF’s and when she asks Cynthia if it’s true, Bailey promptly denies that their as close as everyone seems to think.

Nene develops a new term for the ‘housewives’ who partner together for the sake of the show…?‘BFFN’s aka?‘Best Friends For Now’.

[Sidebar: For the record, there are quite a few BFFN’s this season… Cynthia and Kenya are the most evident, but there’s also the odd pairing of Porsha and Phaedra to consider oh… and Sheree & Bob’s ‘reconciliation’. ?But I digress.]

There’s a whole lotta BFFN’s created for the sake of a check and a storyline. Some work… some don’t.

**Never forget how Marlo Hampton tried to befriend Kenya to ease her way on the show. ?Again… I digress.

We’re left with a cliffhanger as Kenya confronts Cynthia about denying their ‘BFF’-ness.
