VIDEO: RHOA 0809 (FULL)
1. Phaedra owes the dough… (Cut the check!)

Todd Tucker pays a visit to Phaedra Parks’ office (at her request) to discuss the growing rift between them about the workout DVD Todd produced.

In the midst of their discussion, Phaedra throws a bit of shade about Todd’s financial position, stating:

“Poor Todd, he must be scrounging around the couch cushions for spare change and rummaging through the ashtrays for quarters since I heard that his LA TV projects are all dried up. Or maybe his weekly allowance from Miss Kandi isn’t keeping him afloat anymore.” ~ Phaedra Parks

Besides the shade, it’s all business when it comes to Todd’s visit and he comes prepared with full blown receipts which include copies of canceled checks and the production budget that was approved prior to their working relationship.

Todd proves that Phaedra has only paid him 16,950 of the $25,275 which is owed and he has copies of the two checks she cut: $8,475 (first payment) and $8,475 (2nd payment). There is apparently a third payment of $8,475 that was never made.

While Phaedra disputes she’s even seen the finished product, flashback video proves her wrong.

Whatever the case, Todd is ready to video to Phaedra to receive his final check and while she seems agreeable in their meeting, Phaedra manages to throw more shade in her confessional as she states that SHE is the one who determines if the video is complete or not.

Messy… 😯

2. Kenya Moore was a runaway juvenile delinquent…?

Kenya Moore wants the world to know that she has a family, so she invites her father back to film with her.

Normally, Bravo supplies subtitles for questionable dialects but for some reason they didn’t bother with Kenya’s dad. (Hell… perhaps THEY couldn’t understand him either).

KooKoo Kenya is apparently seeking to ‘fix’ her life by revisiting her past.? Moore concocts some story about running away from home at 12 years old from her Dad’s home in Texas all the way to Detroit, in an apparent attempt to garner viewer sympathy.

Moore also determines that whatever issues she’s having finding a mate could possibly be due to the dysfunctional relationship with her parents and her dad agrees. Kenya wants a husband but says that she is choosing to focus on her mental health first before she dives into another relationship.

How courageous of Kenya for finally admitting that she’s not all there upstairs. I pray she finds the help she needs.

Next week, we’ll get to see Kenya attempt to reconcile with her estranged mother. Moving on.

3. The Tuckers and The Thomas’ Double Up…

Cynthia and Peter join Kandi and Todd for a double lunch date. The two couples share a few awkward pleasantries before diving in to the day’s gossip.

Kandi tells Cynthia and Peter about last week’s Don Juan episode and explains how the situation got out of hand.

Apparently Kandi feels that Porsha has chosen Phaedra’s side in the growing ‘beef’ between Kandi and her former friend and it’s clear that she feels strongly about Porsha’s decision to stand by Phaedra.

She confides in Cynthia and Peter about the situation and Cynthia admits that she and Porsha are still in the process of mending their own issues after that ‘kicking’ incident on Lake Lanier.

Kandi and Todd also seek advice from Cynthia and Peter about the restaurant business, which sparks a bit of a heated debate. Cynthia seems to think that the restaurant can only thrive if the person is hands on and she mentions that Peter practically lives in Charlotte because of his Sports One venture.

4. Kandi’s ‘Kandi Koated’ Clique Strikes Again…

Cynthia Bailey hosts another event for her eyewear line and it seems that it’s merely another opportunity for conflict.

Porsha decides to address Kandi’s issues one on one but Kandi brings along her ‘Kandi Koated Clique’ as back up.

Don Juan offers a bit of an ‘apology’ for his over the top actions during their previous discussion and while Porsha seems to accept it, more drama brews as Carmon confronts Porsha and Shamea outside.

Porsha is conflicted due to the fact that she wants to speak with Kandi along, but when Carmon confronts her, Williams decides it’s not worth the battle and promptly leaves the scene.

“I don’t give a dayum. Y’all are ratchet as hell…” ~ Porsha

5. With a ‘friend’ like this, who needs enemies?

Porsha finally gets that one on one with Kandi without the ‘Kandi Koated Clique,’ but things don’t go as smoothly as planned.

Kandi is harboring a ton of resentment about Porsha’s decision to stand by Phaedra. In fact, Kandi seems to harbor resentment against ANYONE who is friends with Phaedra. Last year it was NeNe and now that Leakes isn’t around, Porsha is next to feel the wrath Kandi’s hormonal rage.

Burruss is pissed that people feel sorry for Phaedra. Sure, Phaedra is a single mom now that her husband is in jail, but Kandi feels that Parks is using it all for sympathy and she’s not buying it!

That being said, Kandi feels that Porsha shouldn’t drink the kool-aid either and blows up when Porsha says that Phaedra needs support.

“Phaedra is an attorney and she knows how to manipulate the situation, cause she likes to keep her image. But just don’t do it at my expense…” ~ Kandi

As the smoke clears, Porsha offers to try to play mediator between Kandi and Phadra but Burruss admits that she doesn’t think anything will work. It’s clear that whatever issue they are having is way deeper than anyone ever imagined.

Mama Joyce is gets involved next week when she pays a surprise visit to Kandi’s former friend. I don’t think that’s going to end well…
