It’s only been a little over a week since rapper Lil Boosie sought prayers from fans after discovering he has Cancer.

Fans, family and supporters of Boosie aka ‘Boosie Bad Azz’ were shocked at the news and sent up prayers for the Baton Rouge rapper. ? Many also felt that he wasn’t being honest about his diagnosis being that he was on tour and not laid up in a hospital bed.
Boosie recently?hit the net yesterday?to update fans on his plight and revealed that he’s headed to surgery today, Tuesday (Dec. 7).

Lil Boosie posted the photo above via instagram yesterday, stating that he would be headed to surgery today.
Kidney cancer is a serious matter. ?According to the American Cancer Society, a kidney cancer diagnosis is normally followed by surgery.
Surgery is the main treatment for most kidney cancers. The chances of surviving kidney cancer without having surgery are small.
Even patients whose cancer has spread to other organs may benefit from surgery to take out the kidney tumor. Removing the kidney containing the cancer can help some patients live longer, so a doctor may suggest surgery even if the patient?s cancer has spread beyond the kidney. Kidney removal can also be used to ease symptoms such as pain and bleeding.
Depending on the stage and location of the cancer and other factors, surgery may remove either the cancer along with some of the surrounding kidney tissue (known as a?partial nephrectomy), or the entire kidney (known as a?radical nephrectomy).
