#RHOA Nene Leakes Explains Why She Labeled ‘The View’ Hosts ‘Mean Girls’… [VIDEO]

Nene Leakes of The Real Housewives of Atlanta did an interview yesterday with E! News to promote her upcoming stint in Chicago on Broadway.

Earlier this week, during an interview with the ladies on ‘The View,’ Leakes felt disrespected by several of the hosts, causing her to tweet (and delete) about them being ‘mean girls’ who looked down at their noses at her.

During her interview with E!, Nene explains her position, stating:

I was a guest on the The View and I just felt like…? honestly speaking, if you invite me into your house, have some manners and treat me nice.

In the interview above, the veteran ‘housewife’ also reveals a deep connection with the popular reality show, stating:

I feel like The Housewives of Atlanta is my show… just keeping it real with you.

I think when you say ‘Housewives of Atlanta’ people think ‘Nene Leakes…

I’ll always have love for ‘Housewives of Atlanta’

Speaking of ‘Housewives of Atlanta’… Porsha payed a surprise visit to the set during Nene’s interview and the pair posed for a few pics.

But I digress…

As far as ‘The View’ is concerned, Nene explained:

People sometimes think that you are something that you’re not, just by watching you on reality tv. And I get it. I understand that reality tv gives you… makes people believe something of you that may not necessarily be true.

And sometimes when you enter a room, people are thinking… or already have their guards up… or their boxing gloves on thinking that you’re going to enter with some sort of attitude.

She goes on to say…

I just felt those girls weren?t friendly. I saw the eyerolls. I felt the eyerolls. I was there.

I don?t know how much was seen on camera but all the eyerolls and the looking you up and down. I just think it?s really unfair and so unnecessary.

I agree. Joy was a b*tch during that interview and she really didn’t have to be. But like I wrote in my post about it, Nene handled it quite well.

Nene debuts in ‘Chicago’ on Broadway November 23rd and she’ll be performing as Matron Mama Morton through December.

What do you think about Nene’s explaination?
