Zola’s story was written by a Detroit woman named Aziah Wells, who tweeted a story that’s since been read by millions: In it, she describes an eyebrow-raising weekend trip with a woman she barely knows, her overbearing pimp, and the woman’s teary, manic-depressive boyfriend.

The real version of Zola’s tale of a March weekend in Tampa has finally been revealed, along with the mugshot of the pimp who was along for the ride.

Details + photos below…

“Z,” the menacing pimp referenced in ‘Zola’s Story’ has now been identified as 35-year-old Akporode Uwedjojevwe – a Nigerian man also known as Rudy.

The Washington Post?researched Zola’s story and spoke with many of the people involved, and while some aspects of the tale are still up for debate, the name of the pimp and the crime he was arrested for have now been revealed.

While Zola’s story indicated that ‘Z” had been arrested for?murder, he was actually nabbed for sexual assault, battery, two counts of trafficking, and two counts of attempted pandering with threat of physical force in Reno and he was reportedly with Jess, the ‘white girl’ in the story who invited Zola to Tampa, at the time of his arrest.

Two other young women brought charges against Rudy and they tell a story remarkably similar to the one Zola shared online.

One of the women, 19 year-old Jessica Lynn Forgie (not the same Jess from the story), shared her side via Facebook, stating:

Forgie later revealed that they had met Rudy (Z) and Jess (Jessica Swiatkowski) the same way Zola had, and claim that the two pressurfed the pair to sleep with men for money.?Afterwards, she went to the police and reported him, all three ladies were identified as victims but Forgie feels that Jessie is a perpetrator and NOT a victim.

‘She?s been with him a while ? they?re definitely a team,’ said Forgie.?’I?m glad Zola told her story. I had no idea Jess did this to someone else.’

Although the story was entertaining for twittersphere, it also serves as a reminder that sex trafficking is a REAL LIFE problem. ?This one perpetrator has been caught, but there are many more like him still walking around free.

The good thing about this is that it has created awareness and while Zola’s story may have been embellished, it certainly happens to many young women.

Zola’s story has since been deleted from twitter, but it lives forever online. CLICK HERE if you missed it.
