After deciding that he probably would pass a criminal background check, Waka (real name Juaquin Malphurs) decided that he’d rather play politics from the sidelines.

Now the former Love & Hip-Hopper has decided to take his squad to Washington. And since he can’t run for president, he’s announcing his candidacy for the next best thing, Speaker of the House!

Following the?chaos created by Republican Rep. John Boehner?s decision to step down and the lack of a clear favorite to take this place, many pundits have pointed out the historic precedent that the speaker (who is third in line to the presidency) does not necessarily have to be a member of Congress.
Based on that logic, Waka Flocka Flame has released a new Funny or Die video in which he throws his hat in the ring:
Ever since I was a kid, I always wanted to be a rapper. But it was always [a] means to the end ? my real dream was to run Congress,? the rapper claims in the new comedy clip. ?That?s right, you don?t have to be a member of Congress to be the number one dude,? he adds.
In the video, Waka also acknowledges that he?s too young to be president but also that the White House ?is not where the real power is.?
Under his leadership, Waka promises to support ?cool things? like ?marijuana, women?s rights? and ?gun control? and to block ?stupid things? like ?trans-Pacific partnerships, voter ID laws and building a wall around Mexico.?
