Brown purchased 1,000 acres of farm land and has started growing crops like sweet potatoes and cucumbers.
?My agent told me, ?You?re making the biggest mistake of your life,?? Brown told CBS. ?And I looked right back at him and I said, ?No I?m not. No I?m not.??
The former footballer has no experience in farming but learned the tricks of the trade from none other than watching videos on YouTube.? He also spent time researching and gathering advice from local farmers.
Brown has named his farm, the ?First Fruits Farm,? and plans to donate the first fruits of every harvest to area food pantries.
As for leaving football behind, Brown says he’s never felt more successful and revealed that his plan was inspired by God.
A huge SALUTE to Jason Brown for committing his life to service! What an awesome story to kick off the Thanksgiving season!
