Nida is currently in custody in Lexington, Kentucky and he recently spoke out about his marital drama that’s being aired this season on the popular reality show.

Apollo and Phaedra are a hot topic lately, especially in light of last week’s episode where he apologized to Phaedra’s arch nemesis, Kenya Moore.

In his first interview since entering prison, Apollo Nida talks exclusively to ?In Touch? magazine, where he comes clean from behind bars about the mistakes he?s made ? and even reveals that his wife, Phaedra Parks, hasn?t given up on him just yet.

Details below…

In his recent interview with In Touch, Apollo reveals that he and Phaedra are actually on speaking terms now, and that they’ve been communicating frequently over the phone:

?Yes, we?ve had problems ? especially over the last year ? but we?ve gotten on terms now where I can call her and it?s cordial.

?I?m hopeful that we can stick things out.?

If you recall, Phaedra recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres show, claiming she is divorcing her husband of five years (click HERE if you missed that), however Apollo confirms my suspicions and in his recent interview, insists that no divorce has been filed.

Nida also reveals to the mag that Phaedra has had a change of heart about him seeing the kids and is even considering bringing their two boys for a visit ? something the reality star swore she?d never do.

?There?s a plan to get them up here,? Apollo tells ?In Touch.?

While Apollo is spilling the real tea about his ‘real life’ situation, Phaedra?s rep is fully protecting her RHOA storyline stating:

?The divorce is proceeding as planned.? Her rep Steve Honig also tells ?In Touch,?

?While Phaedra and the boys [Ayden, 4, and Dylan, 18 months] do speak with Apollo regularly, there have been absolutely no discussions about reconciling.?

Whatever the case, Apollo tells ?In Touch? he?s sorry for the mistakes he made and knows he ?let a lot of people down.? As he counts the days to freedom, he?s vowing to turn his life around and reveals that he’s looking forward to making things right when he’s released.

I know for a fact that when I get home, I will pick up the pieces.
