Media Mogul Tyler Perry is preparing for a major life change. In addition to turning 45 this year, he’s going to father a child!
Perry celebrated his benchmark birthday by by throwing himself a star-studded soiree that included Stevie Wonder playing the piano.
I had never thrown myself a birthday party, so for my 45th I wanted to do something special. This is inside the tent where we had a two hour concert. Jennifer Holliday, Desiree Coleman Jackson, Tevin Campbell, Ledisi, Monica, Jazmine Sullivan, Tamia, Mary Mary, LeAnn Rimes, Yolanda Adams, Rachelle Ferrell and Stevie Wonder brought the house down.
It was a night I’ll never forget. Thanks to all of them for making this night special for me. My next party will be at 50. Gonna mark it every 5 years. A celebration in thanks to God for my life.
While there were several star studded guests helping him celebrate, Tyler took a moment to announce that he’s expecting his first child!

According to gossip site Bossip, the entertainment mogul announced that he?s expecting his first child during 45th birthday party:
Tyler Perry is a daddy to be!!! The entertainment mogul just revealed he?s expecting his first child during his 45th birthday party last week.
While he did not reveal who the mother is, sources close to Perry believe that it?s likely model/philanthropist Gelila Bekele is the mom to be. She and Perry have been linked off and on for the last five years or so.
For the record, Gelila Bekele used to escort Perry to several functions, but I seriously doubt that she’s the mother of his unborn child.

The news of Perry’s upcoming arrival shocked the internet.
As you know, Perry has a huge Christian following and it seems odd that he would be supporting an unwed pregnancy.
Since there’s been no trace of a relationship, many suspect that the mega media mogul may be heading towards adopting a child or perhaps going to hire a surrogate.
Maybe the stigma attached to being an ‘unwed’ father is easier to deal with than the gay rumors… *shrug*
Whatever the case, Perry expects the pitter patter of little feet around his house soon.
