QUICK QUOTES: Mike Vick Weighs in on Ray Rice Controversy…

Quarterback Michael Vick has faced his own share of controversy and recently he weighed in on the controversy surrounding former Baltimore Ravens runningback Ray Rice.

As you know, a Rice was released from his NFL team after an explosive video surfaced earlier this week showing Rice hitting his future wife in an Atlantic City, N.J., elevator.

No stranger to controversy, Vick, who served nearly two years behind bars after pleading guilty to federal charges related to his role in a dog-fighting ring, said he ?took away a lot from what I went through ? the importance of decision-making.?

Vick was recently interviewed on New York radio station WFAN, and when asked about the incident, her responded honestly and revealed that sometimes you’ve got to pay the price for your wrongs in order to move on.

Vick, who played for the Philadelphia Eagles after leaving the Falcons and now plays for the New York Jets, said during the interview that he hopes ?masses of people? learn from Rice?s troubles that led to him being released this week from the Ravens and being banned indefinitely by the NFL.

When first asked, Mike admitted, ?honestly, I wouldn?t know what to tell Ray Rice right now,? then said, ?you?ve got to be conscious of what you?re doing and what?s going on at all times.?

?Some things we?ve got to learn to bottle up,? Vick said.

?There are so many different ways to handle things that come about ? Somebody told me you can go 23 hours in a day and do the right thing and in the last hour, you screw up, that?s all people are going to remember.?

While Rice has had a great career, Vick said: ?A lot of us had great careers and everything was in our favor. You do the wrong thing in one hour of the day and everything turns around.? (source)

I hate to beat a dead horse but our society is so askew! How is it that Vick had to spend years in jail over DOGS but Rice knocked his wife out ON CAMERA and never did a day of jailtime?
