Celebrity Hairstylist Derek J Faces ‘Stolen Weave’ Lawsuit + Meet The Accuser… (EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS)

Celebrity hairstylist Derek J?of Bravo’s Fashion Queens and The Real Housewives of Atlanta is facing a hilarious legal battle.

An Atlanta woman by the name of Benita Williams has filed a lawsuit claiming that the superstar stylist actually stole her weave right off of her scalp!

I heard about the lawsuit weeks ago as I was sitting in Derek’s?’The J-Spot’?salon and we all got a good laugh about it, especially after?the woman threatened to go public unless he ‘settled’…

UnbeWeaveable!!! 😆

Benita Williams of Atlanta (pictured above) contacted Radar Online?about her pending lawsuit claiming that celebrity hairstylist Derek J stole her weave right off of her head.

She offered them the story only if they would keep her name anonymous, but fortunately I didn’t make the same agreement… and fortunately her Facebook page is public. But I digress.

Williams states to Radar Online that she’s no ‘Kenya Moore’ but she shelled out around $700 for Derek J to reinstall someone else’s bad work so that she could look more presentable out in these Atlanta streets.

?I am not a celebrity, but I own my own business, and my contracts are with Fortune 100, 200 companies,? the source said. ?With Derek, I paid around $700. I?m paying this type of money so I can look presentable to these people.?

?I?m not Kenya Moore and I?m not gonna fight you for my hair,? she joked. ?But I know I can?t be the only person he?s done this to. Not the first, and definitely not the last. I want to give other women a platform to stand on, in the event that he does that again.?

?What you see on TV is not real,? she claimed. ?There?s a lot of fakeness going on in Atlanta!?

In the lawsuit, filed July 18th, Williams claims:

I had my sew-in taken out to be reinstalled. Derek led his team to steal my hair, then Derek installed used ? cheap hair in my head.

He (Derek) also?encouraged other stylists?to steal my hair.

Williams?is suing Derek J in excess of $2,000 for her ‘stolen’ hair and word on the curb but Derek J says her claims are preposterous and judging from the photos… I would agree with him!

Derek told me himself that he ‘took her weave out and put her weave back in… it was the exact same hair.’

He also revealed to Radar:

She had hair in, and I took her hair out to wash it, and putting it back in is like putting a puzzle back together. If it gets misconfigured, it won?t have the same look as it did. That?s basically what happened, that it didn?t get put back in the exact same way as it was.

Anyone who knows Derek J, knows that he’s all about keeping his clients happy. I’ve sent several of my readers there, who are still customers to this day.

I offered for her to come back in and have it fixed,? he said. ?But she said no and six months later I get a lawsuit. It?s really, really ridiculous.

I have been doing hair for 15 years and I?ve never had this issue,? he said. ?Unfortunately, when you start to raise your profile, certain things start to happen to you. I have celebrity clients, so to have this regular woman accuse me of this, it?s like, ?Lady, sit down!?

Y’all know I’ve got to say something about this situation. Seriously.?I could almost buy ol’ girl’s story if she had a brand new bag of premium human?that came up missing but no stylist would ever steal that blondish weave straight?outta her?head!

I smell bullshhhhhh… and I hope Derek’s lawyer light’s this woman up in court!

What do you think of this bizarre lawsuit?
