Married To Medicine‘s second season lost me at ‘hello’ but the reunion show managed to catch my attention for a few minutes last night (July 12, 2014).
The ladies appeared on a set designed as a ‘shady grove’ while donned in their finest couture. Host Andy Cohen made a point of noting they were there to ‘spill tea’ and get to the root of the dissension within the group, which actually stemmed from the demise of Mariah Huq & Quad Webb-Lunceford’s friendship.

Since I’m already privy to the drama, I totally lost interest to the extended on-air version but the reunion was a little entertaining considering there was nothing else on tv last night.

I was there when Mariah and Quad got into it at STK but I have to give it to Mrs. Huq… she’s got a story and she’s sticking to it! Mariah’s cool, calm & collected facade almost scares me when I see her on the show. She’s got everyone around her yelling & screaming for a reaction and she’s paying them dust!
If I wasn’t at STK to witness the ‘real’ Mariah, I would almost believe her story. I give Mariah props for maintaining her composure because on-air, she seems to be rising above all of the drama.
Even when Reco Chapple was thrown into the mix during the reunion, Mariah didn’t flinch and even offered an apology. She calmly sat there and admitted that she totally understood Reco’s position and didn’t offer one word of debate.

They’re both wrong… and they both need to get over whatever issues they have with each other. Quad owes Mariah nothing but gratitude but Mariah seems to think her friend owes her 10% of her life.
But I digress.
During the reunion, Dr. Heavenly revealed that Mariah had told her that Dr. Jackie would ‘come for her’ but would back down and Dr. Simone would be her mouth piece. Mariah calmly denied the accusation… now, correct me if I’m wrong cause I missed a few episodes… but isn’t that what happened all season?
Moving on…
Dr. Simone seemed a bit tightly wound and when it comes time for her to discuss her issues with Toya, things turn for the worse.
Toya still feels some kinda way about Simone dancing on her husband at the bowling party (sigh) and as Simone is explaining herself it seems Toya won’t let her get a word in edgewise.
Andy tells Toya to let Simone finish but before it’s all over, Dr. Simone is screaming. She tells Andy that she and Toya are NOT friends because, if they were, Toya would’ve spoken to her privately about her issues.
Toya tries to call out Simone for not knowing her phone number but hell… who knows phone numbers my heart these days?
The altercation moves backstage and it’s clear that both of these ladies are turned up for camera time. Is it really that serious to be throwing punches??? I think not…
At any rate, the snooze fest will continue next week with part 2.
