Tensions rise as Kandi and Todd debate whether having their mothers meet each other before the wedding is a good idea.

Meanwhile, as the Matron and Maid of Honor compete for their best friend’s affection, the situation reaches a boiling point.

Communication is key…

With less than 14 days left til Kandi & Todd’s wedding date, the couple goes through a bit of counseling from Pastor Pollard, who also blessed the couple’s new home last season.

It was apparently Todd’s idea to go through counseling cause it seems Kandi doesn’t actually like to talk much about her feelings… “Every battle isn’t worth talking about.” – Kandi

But she’s open to it and during a session with Pastor Pollard, opens up to Todd about things she likes and dislikes (i.e. her love of foot rubs + her frustrations about him peeing on the toilet seat).

At the end of their marital counseling the couple says in unison… “Communicate or you’ll disintegrate!”

Love you like a fat kid loves cake!

Kandi has to select a cake and she, Todd and a few of their wedding party go cake sampling at ‘Cakes by La?Meeka.’

It’s during this time that we find out that Tan and Karmon really don’t see eye to eye when Kandi reveals they are both HER best friends (but not best friends with each other).

Despite the underlying tension, the cake tasting goes off without any major drama and it seems like Kandi is happy with each sample.

One thing’s for sure… Kandi really likes cake!

No wedding dress for the fitting…

Reco Chapple has graciously offered to make Kandi an extravagant wedding gown but when she arrives for the fitting, there’s no dress to fit!

Kandi is surprisingly cool, calm, & collected and it seems her only concern is that her bodacious breasts are appropriately covered when she walks down the aisle!

When Tan refers to Reco as ‘Ratchet Rico,’ Kandi assures her team that, ?He?s going to be late, but great.?

Best Friend Wars…

Kandi has made it clear that Tan and Karman are not that close and in confessional, states: “Tan & Karman only tolerate each other because of me.”

When a few of Kandi’s bridesmaids (which include Kandi’s RHOA co-star Phaedra Parks and Rasheeda from ?Love and Hip Hop Atlanta?) get together for some pre-wedding planning the two bump heads and have to be checked by Kandi’s cousin.

We’ve already witnessed Karman’s work ethic earlier this season and it seems she feels the planning meeting is a waste of time since it’s clear that Tan has everything already planned out. Karman seems to feel ‘some kinda way’ about Tan taking over and leading the group.

“Bye Felicia” = ‘The random b*tch you don’t give a f*ck about’

When Karmon makes that statement to Tan, all hell breaks loose in their planning meeting but Kandi’s cousin shuts it down when she says she’s not going to allow any of them to disrupt her cousin’s wedding! (Where is SHE when Mama Joyce is acting out?)

Mixing Mommas…

“I’m not losing you, Kandi just got lucky!” Todd’s mom Sharon proclaims as he jokes with her about losing her son to marriage.

Todd’s mom seems hella cool and but she loses it when Mama Joyce’s attitude rears it’s ugly head during a family dinner.

Miss Sharon and Mama Joyce finally get to go head to head as they each stand up for their ‘child’… ie the bride & groom.

Mama Joyce has been saying some VERY negative things about Todd’s mom & dad and Miss.Sharon has heard all about it. Now she’s finally there in person to give Mama Joyce a bit of her ‘New York’ state of mind!

Todd let’s his mom handle her business and it seems Mama Joyce can ‘dish it, but can’t take it!’

Kandi is again stuck in the middle but has no control over Mama Joyce and her antics.

[Sidebar: where would the show be without Mama Joyce acting up?]
