I’m sure you know by now that there are a number of mobile applications designed to alter perceived facial imperfections within selfie shots. In search of the perfect selfie, Lanvey underwent a nosejob as well as a chin implant and facial fat grafting, where fat is removed from a portion of a body, like the buttocks, and injected into specific areas on the face.

Lavey chose to go through these procedures because she specifically disliked how her ?weak chin? looked in selfies that were published to both Facebook and Instagram.

When Lavey was asked how she felt about her post-surgery appearance, she said

?I feel like I still look like myself, but photoshopped.?

But despite spending thousands on nip/tuck procedures, Lavey still uses photo filters in applications like Instagram to improve on recently taken selfies.

She?s also planning even more procedures! Besides having undergone a recent corrective procedure on her nose and another round of fat grafting to her face, Lavey regularly gets Botox injections.

?Botox, to me, is a necessity. It?s kind of like in my bills, it?s like rent, food, gasoline, medical insurance, then Botox. It?s like a standard.?

The ‘picture perfect’ young woman, who works as a talent manager in LA, admits that she didn?t invest as much time thinking about her appearance prior to the rise in popularity of social networks… but justifies her facial surgery in pursuit for the perfect selfie by explaining:

?Your social media presence is just as important as your real-life presence”

Chile… I guess.
