NEWSFLASH!! PETA Calls Usher’s Furry New Hat ‘Sickening’… [PHOTOS]

It seems Usher Raymond‘s furry ‘new look’ may have ruffled a few feathers!

You may have noticed that Usher has been sporting some furry new headgear recently that has created some stiff competition for Pharrell William’s grammy look.

The sexy crooner premiered his ‘Davy Crocket’ racoon type hat on the set of The Tonight Show studios in New York City, last Monday but just hours after his photograph hit the net, PETA pounced!

The animal rights organization issued a statement condemning Usher’s choice of head wear and referred to his furry new hat as ‘sad and sickening’.

PETA released a statement to RumorFix regarding Usher’s furry hat, stating:

“When someone with so much good fortune fails to show even the smallest amount of understanding and mercy to others?in this case, animals whose very skin was taken from them and who died painfully for a hat?it is sad and sickening?”

For the record, ‘coonskin’ hats are usually made from the skin and fur of a raccoon, but it’s unknown if Usher is actually rocking a fake fur piece….
