The award winning singer and songwriter has partnered with her fiance’ Todd Tucker to try her hand at producing a stage play.
The play is entitled, ?A Mother?s Love? and the pair stopped by Fox-5’s ?Good Day Atlanta? morning show a few weeks ago to discuss the new venture.
Kandi told FOX 5?s Gurvir Dhindsa:
I look up to people like Tyler Perry and everything that he?s done. As far as my career and my next steps, I just want to take it bigger and better.
It?s (the play) inspired by (my relationship with my mother). My relationship with my mother is, you know we?re very close, but when it comes to relationships and things, sometimes mothers, and not just my mother, have a problem letting go and letting their daughter make their own decisions. It kind of touches on that?

‘A Mother’s Love’ will be a musical production presented by Kandi Koated Entertainment & T-Tucker Productions.
Kandi speaks of mega-producer Tyler Perry as being her inspiration for the play, so I’m sure it’s no coincidence that she ‘ran into’ Perry a few weeks ago.
I’ve heard that the stage play will play a major role in Kandi’s season 6 storyline, and considering the fact that these two are rumored to be taking the route of ‘Gregg & Nene’ and ‘Kirk & Rasheeda’ this season (i.e. faking relationship drama for the cameras), it should be interesting to see how their business partnership turns out…
