Oh no! One of my favorite hip-hop couples, Antwan “Big Boi” Patton and his wife Sherlita Patton, are reportedly headed to divorce court.
I’m sad right now. Very very sad.

Divorce papers were filed yesterday in Fulton County court and apparently it’s Big Boi’s wife, who’s calling it quits.
According to the AJC:
The wife of Atlanta hip hop star Big Boi, filed for divorce on Tuesday, according to court documents.
Antwon A. Patton, one half of the Grammy Award-winning duo OutKast, married Sherlita M. Patton in February 2002, and the two are currently separated, according to court documents.
The divorce complaint, filed in Fulton County Superior Court, claims that the marriage is ?irretrievably broken,? and is seeking alimony and an equitable division of marital property.
?What’s even more interesting is that Sherlita has hired John Mayoue.? If you recall, Mayoue is the same high-profile divorce attorney that Usher Raymond used in his custody battle against ex-wife Tameka Raymond.

Another interesting tidbit is that they’re scheduled to appear under the same judge, Bensonetta Tipton Lane, who eventually stepped down in the Raymond matter (click HERE if you missed that).

Seems like Sherlita has all her divorce ducks in a row. This might not end well for Big Boi. Personally, I’m praying for a reconciliation, but if they ever head to court, I think Big should petition for another judge.
I’m just sayin… 😯
