Dawn Robinson Defends Kelly Price’s ‘Bad Attitude’ + Watch Episode #6 of ‘R&B Divas L.A.’ [FULL VIDEO]

With the smash hit of “R&B Divas LA” it was only a matter time before someone was branded the “difficult” one.

No one I know was surprised that Nicci Gilbert became the ‘outcast’ of the Atlanta season? (you’ve gotta be hell on wheels to get kicked off of a show you ‘allegedly’ created, right?), however most were left scratching their heads when industry underdog Kelly Price became ‘that girl’ this season.

At the start of the L.A. season, Kelly was the one who brought the six ‘divas’ together and introduced the idea of a ‘Vagina Monologues’ type show called ‘Not Your Mama Monologues,’ but her co-stars, mainly Chante Moore and Lil Mo, forged ahead with the idea when Kelly was apparently ‘too busy’ to participate in her own creation.

Oddly enough, it was their enthusiasm to proceed that caused a bit of tension and had Kelly coming off as a bit of a control freak. And that’s putting it nicely.

Speaking out in favor of the Grammy nominee is her fellow ‘Divas’ cast mate Dawn Robinson, who is attempting to do damage control clear the air on the shocking attitude revelations of Mrs. Price.

Here’s what Dawn wants y’all to know…

See, this is the thing; this is what?s hard. When you show a bunch a stuff, and you have all this footage, and then they just break it down to certain parts of it, and then they omit certain things that you did say, but they don?t put that part in there because they want you to look a certain way.

So this is why I was telling her, ?Kelly, whatever we do, don?t react to people in an angry way, because they?re going to film that, and that?s what they?re gong to show. They want to show us fighting against each other, they want to show anger, the angry Black woman, and you?re so much better than that. Please hold your peace as much as you can, and don?t let these people take you off your greatness. You are a queen ? we don?t go there, don?t do it.?

I?ve just been praying with Kelly because her heart is broken over what she?s sees of herself [on the show]. You build up a career to a certain point, you fought and battled through that career to be heard and seen.

People talked about her weight and all the different things, and now to have a reality show tear you down? Uh uh, no, uh uh, no way! I?ll be damned. Because these people go on to get different jobs, when we have only one career.

I always tell people that all the time. You guys can get six other women in our place; each season, a new group of six women. We only have one career. I only have one Dawn Robinson, and I?ll be damned if somebody?s going to come in and take it all because of some reality show. That is not what I signed up for! I signed up for positivity.[Source]

Are we still arguing bad editing with reality shows? Seriously? Isn’t that right up there with ‘my twitter was hacked’??? I don’t know because I certainly wasn’t there during their tapings,? but it seems obvious that if you ‘self-edit’ then there’s little to no room for anyone else to ‘edit’ you into a monster. I’m just sayin…

I’ve met Kelly and she was nothing but nice to me, but the ‘Kelly Price’ on R&B Divas LA shows a totally different side of her personality.

What do YOU think… is Kelly sanging the blues over her outlandish antics gone viral? Or is she merely a victim of that damn editing monster?
