The Frank Ski location, frequented by the ‘who’s who’ around town and a popular spot for socializing, is now being sued in Fulton State Court by the family of a woman who fell at the restaurant and later died from her injuries.

Details below…

According to the AJC, the wrongful death lawsuit was filed this week by Gaye Elizabeth Wilson, administrator of the estate of Joy Wilson.

The lawsuit alleges that Joy Wilson was at Frank Ski?s Restaurant and Lounge in Buckhead on Oct. 31 2011 and fell on a napkin, which was ?hidden from view and unobservable.? The suit states that Joy Wilson was taken to the hospital for injuries she sustained in the fall and later died.

Ski?s attorney, Mark Trigg of Atlanta, said neither he nor Ski had seen a copy of the lawsuit. ?It will be vigorously defended once we do,? Trigg said.

Ski left V-103 last year after being a fixture on the station?s top-rated morning show for 14 years.

Station officials said Ski wanted a syndicated deal to expand beyond Atlanta, but a deal couldn?t be reached.

Ski opened Frank Ski?s Restaurant and Lounge in Buckhead in 2011.

The lawsuit, filed by Marietta attorney Michael R. Braun, officially is against The Glass Atlanta LLC, doing business as Frank Ski?s Restaurant and Lounge.

Hopefully this will all be settled soon so y’all can go about the business of partying at the popular hotspot.
