It’s been a year since the untimely death of Tameka Raymond’s 11 year old son Kile Glover, who died after suffering head injuries from being hit by a jet ski on Lake Lanier.

Tameka has persevered over the past year by using her grief as a catalyst for change.? It was her footwork and determination that convinced Georgia Governor Nathan Deal to sign Senate Bill #136 (i.e. The Kile Glover Boat Education Bill) into law (click HERE if you missed that).

On this day July 21st, exactly one year ago.. my life was forever changed. My son Kile Ishmael earned his wings… His purpose here was served. As his Mother that is STILL nearly impossible to accept but as a Christian I know it to be so. Kile was so spiritually synchronized with me that it was always eerie.
I have repurposed my life, what was once important now pales in comparison to what I have been left to do. He is with me where ever I go and the decisions I make I think of him and his brothers. Kile was my soul mate and 11 year old self. I miss you son but vow to do everything you aspired to do. I love you “Kile Money” rest peacefully my son.

Congratulations to Tameka on a successful launch of ‘Kamp Kile’ and major props to her for maintaining such a positive outlook during such a trying time.
