For media mogul Tyler Perry, Good Deeds is not just a movie… it’s a way of life!

Perry has done more than a few ‘good deeds’ in his lifetime… like graciously replacing a woman’s stolen van and even saved a local pack of cub scouts with a huge donation.

Now Tyler has lent a helping had to a good Samaritan, who was unfortunately paralyzed when he saved the life of a 4 year old girl.

Mike Patterson is currently hospitalized after he broke his neck diving into a creek to rescue 4-year-old Javea Jones a little over a week ago.

On June 8, 2013, Mike Patterson severed his spine after he dove into a creek in Rockmart, Georgia to save a stranger’s child from drowning. Mike was left paralyzed after his effort to rescue the four-year-old girl.

Mike?s life has been forever changed by his accident. Mike will incur loss of income and increased living expenses as a result of his injuries. Mike?s tragic story has made news headlines around the globe. Mike?s heroic act has brought an outpouring of desire to help Mike in his time of need.

After consultation with Mike?s mother and stepfather, the Friends of Mike Patterson Trust has been established for the benefit of Mike Patterson.

A facebook page called ‘Friends of Mike Patterson’ has also been set up, which contains details on how others can donate to the cause. (source)

Patterson’s story was publicized and Tyler Perry reportedly saw the story on Atlanta’s WSB-TV (Channel 2) Action News.

Now he’s getting some help from an Atlanta media mogul in the form of a huge donation!

A representative for Atlanta’s Tyler Perry told Channel 2’s Diana Davis that Perry has donated $50,000 to the Michael Patterson fund!
