First Lady Michelle Obama covers the April 2013 edition of Vogue.
It’s the second time the first lady’s photo has graced the front of the fashion bible, the first was back in March, 2009.
Photographer Annie Leibovitz shot the newest cover of Obama, who wore a blue and purple Reed Krakoff sheath taken straight from her very own closet. The green background, the cool color palette and the choice to wear Reed Krakoff is also reminiscent of the ?FLOTUS’ brand new official portrait.

President Barack Obama also appears in a photo alongside his first lady inside the Vogue feature spread and there’s also a third shot of Michelle wearing an elegant Michael Kors ball skirt and sweater.

To accompany the shoot, the first couple was interviewed by Jonathan Van Meter, discussing parenting, marriage and their duties while presiding in the White House. Of course, since this is Vogue, they also talked fashion.
The POTUS admits: ?Now in fairness, there is one thing that?s changed. Which is, I used to have, like, two suits.? ?Now you must have dozens,? Van Meter replied. ?Thank God,? the FLOTUS chimed in, continuing ?Now let me tell you: This is the man who still boasts about ?this khaki pair of pants I?ve had since I was 20.? And I?m like ?You don?t want to brag about that.?
The banter ensues: ?Michelle?s like Beyonc? in that song,? said the president. ??Let me upgrade ya!? She upgraded me.?
?If you?re comfortable in your clothes it?s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well,? Michelle said.
