Tameka and Ryan both actively lobbied with the Georgia Senate committee where she spoke and offered first hand information about the lack of boating safety on Lake Lanier.

After a legislation on boating safety was passed earlier this week, the District Attorney in Hall County, Georgia decided to move forward with prosecuting the man responsible for the accident that killed young Kile Glover.
For the record, other outlets are reporting the story as if Usher has something to do with it… and clearly he doesn’t.? But I digress.
Details below…
The Natural Resources and the Environment Committee voted unanimously after hearing from several speakers, including an emotional Tameka Raymond, whose son Kile Glover died after the 11-year-old was struck in a boating accident. Glover was the stepson of entertainer Usher.
Everyone who spoke, including officers from the Department of Natural Resources, offered support for the bill.
Raymond offered suggestions and voiced concerns during her testimony.
And just two days later, Hubbard was indicted by a Grand Jury in Hall County, Georgia – the county where Lake Lanier is located.
The District Attorney says Hubbard was indicted for ‘Homicide by Vessel’, ‘Serious Injury by Vessel’, as well as ‘Reckless Operation of a Vessel’ all stemming from the accident that occurred July 6th on Lake Lanier.
Tameka’s son, Kile, suffered severe brain injuries when Hubbard (a family friend) collided with him and another child as they floated on an inflatable raft.
Kile was hospitalized, and never regained consciousness. He died on July 21.
Hubbard is currently being held without bail.
I’m sure the arrest for the family is bittersweet.? Hubbard was a close friend of Ryan Glover and was actually vacationing with the family when the unfortunate accident occurred.? Hubbard’s son was also a friend of Kile’s.
I pray these recent events can bring some kind of closure to the family.
