Bob Whitfield Asks: Are You A LOVER Or A HATER…

[DISCLAIMER from ATLien: I just can’t seem to get it together today, so I called my friend Bob Whitfield and asked for a Valentine’s Day post. While I don’t necessary agree with much of Mr. Whitfield’s views about love & relationships, I can definitely appreciate that he has the guts to write about ’em considering his very public circumstances surrounding his ex.

That being said… on this day of L.O.V.E. and romance, I hope that someone around you cares enough to give you the very best… of whatever they have to offer.? So without further adieu, read Bob Whitfield’s most recent relationship rant and feel free to share your thoughts…]

Valentine’s Day is dedicated to those who give love and is not determined by what love will be returned to them. It is for those who are determined NOT to hate because surely only hate will return.

This day may come at the perfect time to reiterate what love can build yet be hated for the love that has been lost.

In relationships, Valentines Day can be Love and Hate at the same damn time…

This post is for the “LOVERS” and the “HATERS”…

For the lovers who thoughtfully planned a romantic dinner for two… three weeks ahead of Valentine’s Day at the most hard to get table in the city;

For the haters trying to get a last minute table with the only available booking set for 10:45pm… its a hole in the wall restaurant that closes at 11:00 but the Monkfish tastes just like Lobster…

For the lovers who remembered their beloved’s favorite things… and had plenty of them, roses, chocolates, diamonds, and the covered strawberries;

For the haters who are reading greeting cards holding a cellophane wrapped heart shaped box of nasty goo filled chocolates, with a bouquet filled with 2 roses, 2 sunflowers, and a lot of the grassy green stuff;

For the lovers spreading rose petals on that heavenly bed in the top floor suite of the best hotel in the City, with champagne already on ice (she prefers pink over red);

For the haters changing the sheets and the pillow cases with a fresh bottle of Ciroc being sipped on while searching the floor for stray weave hairs… (does she prefer Febreeze over baby powder?);

For the lovers getting fresh undergarments – garter belts, thigh highs, and a sheer negligee… planning to wear the Cosabella lace thong and bra to match;

For the haters washing yesterday’s club attire with their sheets, panties, jeans and socks… planning to be bottled up, butt naked, with Papadon’s blunts (add keif w/ matches);

For the lovers who are romantically engaged, having set trivial issues aside to renew a passion that’s being tested by life’s circumstances, yet the commitment for each other remains steadfast;

For the haters who have not engaged physically because issues have set aside the romance and passion while their life together is being tested and the sex between them is non-existent.

For the lovers establishing their “firsts”… FIRST date, FIRST kiss, FIRST love making session,? FIRST conversation about the divorce from his FIRST Lady because of his FIRST Mistress;

For the haters looking at their “lasts”… the LAST time they slept apart with a LASTing animosity that lingers from LAST year’s problem with their LAST Mistress;

On this Valentines Day ‘the lovers‘ will be in the presence of ‘the haters’ pondering the same things about each other.

On this day for lovers will you be ‘the hater’? Can this be determined by what you were just yesterday or the week before?

Everyday is Valentine’s in a relationship, whether you love it or hate it.? So on this Valentines Day let us all put aside our ongoing grievances with each other and start making the kind of love you will hate yourself for in the morning.
