Meet 18-year-old Jacob Cox-Brown of Astoria, Oregon.? Cox-Brown posed for the mugshot above after he was arrested for drunk driving.
Crazy thing is… he probably woulda got away with it if his love of Facebook hadn’t have interfered! The teen was located after he boasted about driving drunk on Facebook.

According to local news channel KGW, two people anonymously tipped off officers via Facebook about the post.
Apparently two vehicles had been hit earlier that New Year?s morning.
At? around 1 a.m. New Year’s morning, officers responded to a hit-and-run crash. A white-colored Scion had been sideswiped, leaving significant damage to the car.
Officer Matt Clausen, reportedly seized several pieces of tail light and bumper cover. A second vehicle parked in front of the car had damage, as well.
Later that day, Officer Riley received a private Facebook message from someone who wanted to report what Cox-Brown posted on Facebook ? that he had been drinking, driving and involved in a hit-and-run.
Officers were dispatched to Cox-Brown’s house where they discovered a vehicle that had damage matching that of the victims’ cars from the early morning hit & run. They were also able to match pieces left behind at the scene of the crash to the damaged vehicle, which was registered to Cox-Brown.
Cox-Brown was then arrested and charged with two counts of failing to perform the duties of a driver.
Deputy Chief Brad Johnston said the teen was not charged with drunken driving because the Facebook post is not sufficient evidence that he was intoxicated.
In a press release, the police wrote:
Astoria Police have an active social media presence. It was a private Facebook message to one of our officers that got this case moving, though.
When you post?on Facebook, you have to figure that it is not going to stay private long.
The moral of this story is… don’t post your crimes on Facebook! In other news, Facebook is still the Devil and ‘Big Brother” is always watching…
