My dream team for the show included the wives of Pastor Mason Betha’s wife, Bishop Eddie Long, Creflo Dollar and even Montell Jordan, who’s reportedly retired from music to be a ‘worship pastor’ in Atlanta, but while I’ve heard one or all of those women were woo’d for the show, NONE of them agreed to sign on.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t keep up with all of these doggone reality shows… but this ain’t about me. It’s about the “real church wives” of Atlanta who signed up to have air their drama on the new TLC reality show called “The Sisterhood.”
If the show resembles RHOA, there’s a good reason…

The show is billed as follows:
A candid look into the lives of devout yet fierce preachers’ wives. Known as first ladies, these women work to ensure that their families and churches run as smoothly as possible. ?As wives of preachers in Atlanta, first ladies are held to high standards. But like everyone else, they experience struggles and triumphs.
The show follows them as they navigate through marital troubles, financial issues, parenting challenges, personality conflicts and even demons from the past.
Innocent enough right?? Well let me tell you, the saints are up in arms about this one!? There is already a petition to have the show taken off the air and they took to Facebook and Twitter with a vengeance.
Although I?m not a ?first lady?, one Marvin Sapp Facebook fan took a different stance and wrote what was in my head:
?I am having mixed feelings about it. With me being the wife of a Minister it shows that we are human we all have issues and we don’t walk around talking about Jesus all day.
We are still wives, mother’s, friends etc… Yes it’s messy but who on Earth has a perfect life?
We’ll just have to continue to watch or not to see how it pans out.
I agree. ?If it’s entertaining, we’ll just have to watch to see how things go.
I know people of the church are human and have flaws, so for some to call the show “blasphemous” is going a bit too far. I agree that the “reality” of reality shows is that it turns those who choose to participate into “spectacles” for our entertainment, but that’s their choice… and if these things go on “in real life,” what’s the problem?

But the success of their church also means they struggle to meet the needs of their ever-growing congregation.
And, if that weren?t stressful enough, Christina and Anthony also have to wrangle their two teenage daughters, who are just as sassy as their mother.
She and her husband Myles pastor Worship the Wonders Church, where music plays a big part in their ministry. They write their own music and perform original songs at every Sunday service.
In addition to her love for music, DeLana is passionate about helping children. A mom of two, she often acts as a surrogate mother to young members of her congregation.
Eventually she moved to Atlanta, where she met and married Brian, an Evangelical pastor. The couple has two daughters together.
After years of growing The Good Life Ministry, the Scotts fell on hard times and were forced to close the church’s doors. They are now looking for new opportunities to fulfill their calling, and Domonique is hoping to repair the damage that losing the church caused to her marriage.
But since meeting her husband Mark, pastor of the Emanuel Tabernacle Church, Ivy is singing a different tune. She’s now a dutiful first lady, wife and mother to a one-year-old son. Her not-so-wholesome past helps Ivy relate to and connect with her inner-city congregation.
For the record, Kandi has clarified Ivy’s connection to Xscape, stating:
Tara and her husband Brian recently relocated their family from Los Angeles to Atlanta so Brian could pastor a new church. However, Brian, who was actually raised Jewish, lost his position at the church after only six weeks.
Now the two are struggling to find their footing in a city where new churches and new friends?are hard to come by.
