R.I.P. – Natina Reed of “Blaque” Dead at 32 – Official Statement Released… [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

Sad news today. Natina Reed, member of 90?s R&B girl group Blaque, was killed in a hit-and-run accident as she walked across a street in Atlanta, GA, last night (October 26, 2012).

Tomorrow would have been her 33rd birthday.

Details below…Nothing has been confirm by mainstream media but several notable Atlanta industry heads have confirmed the news online and off.

 

Reed, a protege of Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, had been struggling with drug & alcohol addiction and had been arrested several times over the years.

She was a member of the 90’s girl group Blaque, best known for their song “808”…

Natina had also appeared in the movie “Bring it On” alongside Gabrielle Union.

Shortly after news broke of the singer/actress’ passing, Reed’s fellow Blaque group member, Brandi Williams, sent out the following heartfelt message:

Reed is survived by a 10 year old son Tren Brown, whose father is rapper Kurupt.? Prayers and condolences go out to Reed’s family and friends during this trying time.

Natina was a mother, sister, accomplished songwriter, artist and friend. We ask for your prayers at this time for Natina’s family. She will forever be missed and her global influence eternally felt. We thank God for the experiences we shared.”
