From his beginnings as a youngster watching his father Eddie rise to fame with the O?Jays, to forming the duo Levert with his brother Sean, to his ascension up the R&B ranks as a soloist and with the group LSG and, ultimately, his untimely death in 2006, Gerald?s entire story is chronicled with a level of detail and care that only Unsung can provide.

With real, behind-the-scenes stories from friends, family and Gerald himself, this episode ends the season on yet another highly informative note.

While the episode lightly touched on Gerald Levert’s relationship with songstress Miki Howard, they managed to leave out quite a few of the singer’s main squeezes.

Remember his song “Casanova”…

Gerald Levert was definitely a Casanova! TVOne should have include Kandi Burruss and comedian Mo’Nique in the episode as well, I’m sure they all played a part in his creative process and that woulda made for good tv!
