Mugshot Mania ~ Timothy “Tim Dog” Blair Dating Scam on Dateline NBC [PHOTOS + FULL VIDEO]

Meet 90’s gangster rapper Timothy “Tim Dog” Blair.

I’m not too familiar with his work but but apparently he’s quite well known for dissing Compton back in the day.

Besides that… he’s reportedly quite the ladies man and has been found guilty of scamming several women he met online out of THOUSANDS of dollars.

Blair was so good at scamming, that he was recently featured on a FULL episode of Dateline’s “The Perfect Catch.??What caught my eye though is that a well known blog was noted as being one of the essential elements of Blair’s capture.

I’ve never personally met Jacky Jasper and like many bloggers, we’ve had our online run ins a time or two but I give props where props is due and Jacky did the dayum thang on this “Tim Dog” case.

Jacky ran a post a few years back?about “Tim Dog” scamming women?he met through online dating sites out of thousands of dollars.

Jaspers posts and follow ups on “Tim Dog” aided law enforcement officials in the capture of the rapper, who now happens to be spending time on probation while he pays many of the women back.

Check out the full story in the following Dateline NBC: The Perfect Catch episode where “Tim Dog” is featured:

Tim Dog was arrested in Atlanta back in December 2012 for fraud charges stemming from several charges filed by his victims. and it was Jacky’s site that brought the scammer’s deeds to light when comments used his posts as forums to discuss their encounters with “Tim Dog”.

Blair apparently convinced many of the women he met to invest in “music projects” and then used the dough to create the impression that he was a baller in order to convince the next chick that he was a rich rapper. ?That started a snowball effect, where others would trust in him and give him even more money to “invest”.

One of his victims, Esther Pilgrim was a 47-year-old single mother from Memphis, Tennessee. Pilgrim loaned “Tim Dog” $10,000, which somehow turned into $30,000.

Needless to say, she spent three years trying to get local authorities to take on the case, but eventually Tim Dog pleaded guilty to grand larceny in 2010, resulting in a deal were he’s doing five years of unsupervised probation and paying restitution of $19,000 in $100 monthly payments.

So Timothy Blair has been brought to justice and is paying at least some of the women back I can’t help but ask y’all who’s REALLY at fault here… the rapper known as “Tim Dog” or the gullible women he scammed out of their cash?

Again… major props to Jacky for proving that blogging & social media can be used for more than fun & games!
