Regrets & Apologies: Basketball Wives Season 4 Reunion (Part 1) ~ [FULL VIDEO + Behind the Scenes Photos]

Basketball Wives Season 4 has come and gone and the cast joined host/former NBA baller John Salley for their annual reunion show, which aired last night (June 4, 2012).

The ladies all assembled onstage, keeping Jennifer Williams backstage on a monitor as an added drama factor.

Shaunie O’neal, who dressed for the special occasion in a pink tuxedo, prefaces the show to discuss her regrets about the season, stating:

“I feel that all of these ladies take responsibility for what their actions are.”

She then admits that season 4 was “more bad than good” and says that moving forward there will be a more balanced amount of positive content on the show.

Ummmkay… we’ll see how that goes.

There were several fights to recap during the season and Salley starts out discussion Kesha’s battles, starting with Kesha versus Kenya (over Kenya’s singing), Kesha versus Tami (which Tami gives a half-believable “My bad” apology) and Kenya versus Evelyn (a.k.a. the “Evelyn is loose” debacle).

Evelyn sheds a few tears as she admits that she went too far when she hurled a wine bottle at Kenya and wishes she could take that moment back, stating she was embarrassed that her stepdaughters saw the scene and thought it was funny.

Evelyn and Jenn’s battles were the most heated this season and the big question was did Jenn really pop off about Evelyn on her blog?

Evelyn explains that a series of interviews Jenn did were what sparked the end of their multi-year friendship.

“I just feel like she didn’t respect me,” Ev says. The feud between the former besties really hit the fan when Evelyn’s assistant Naya (Interestingly, Naya was invited to the reunion but her attorneys advised her against it) slapped Jenn that led to Jenn filing a lawsuit against Naya.

Cue Jenn’s entrance from backstage…

Jenn struts onto the stage in her red strapless jumpsuit paired with Chanel accessories.?She was cool as a cucumber as she admitted that her absence from the group caused tensions. “It is what it is,” she says.

Salley points out that the group thinks it’s a double standard that she filed a lawsuit against ol’ girl for slapping her but didn’t sue Eric for throwing a glass at her. Jenn says “That’s different. That’s my husband.”

Then comes the apologies. Jenn issues a blanket apology to everyone for anything she has ever done to hurt their feelings, anything that may have been blogged on her behalf, just dayum anything! ?She also reveals that it was her life changing divorce that caused her change in attitude, stating that she was going through a lot having to figure out how she was going to manage on her own.

She says Evelyn never reached out to her during the trying time but John reminds her, “Phones work all the time” and says that the Ev/Jenn friendship would have disintegrated with or without cameras.

In one of the most poignant statements ever, Shaunie says, “It’s really hard to maintain friendships and be on TV.” In other words, if you want to keep a bff, do not go on reality television.

The episode ends with Salley telling Evelyn and Jenn that they should have been “better sisters” to each other. But wait… ?John then reveals that Evelyn has taken a polygraph test prior to the show and he wants Jenn to take one too so they can compare results.

What will the polygraph reveal? I guess we’ll have to wait til next week for the second half of the reunion!

What did you think of Part 1 of the Basketball Wives Reunion?

Did the apologies seem sincere?
