Is NeNe Leakes Lying About Her Divorce From Gregg? [PHOTOS]

NeNe Leakes?of The Real Housewives of Atlanta is a bonafide HUSTLER always has been and always will be and her devoted husband Gregg Leakes will always a have her back no matter what. ?Who can be mad at that?

But you ain’t gotta lie to kick it NeNe….

Bravo noted in the ending of the Season 4 Finale (click here for a recap) that NeNe and Gregg were officially divorced.

Well… that doesn’t actually seem to be the case.

I looked searched for proof of a divorce filing months ago when she first starting running that game about Gregg and couldn’t find a thing! No proof of a divorce filing in any of the metro Atlanta surrounding counties.

I honestly didn’t care enough to continue the search because I already know that the buzz around town is that Gregg will do ANYTHING to keep Nene employed… and if that means pretending to be estranged from the woman he loves while she pretends to be woo’d by rich white men on television… so be it!

When NeNe first started running that game about separating from Gregg, I tried to tell y’all it was all a lie. ?She was spotted all over the country with Gregg in tow and while he definitely tried to play the background, every photo she took, he was somewhere in the background.

Nene hasn’t been getting all those acting gigs for nothing! She’s been successfully ‘acting’ like she and Gregg weren’t together for over a year and now she’s ‘acting’ like they’re divorced.

The couple were were rumored to be on the ‘outs,’ but the two were caught OUT together time and time again and I’ve seen it with my own eyes?on several occasions.

They were spotted out on vacation trips in Miami,?boo’d up at Essence Festival?and even during the BET Hip-Hop Awards last October.

I’ve called the ‘real’ housewife out about it several times and even struck a nerve a time or two…

Rodey Ho of the AJC even called and asked my opinion about it and I told him that I thought it was all a scam. He’s even contacted NeNe’s onscreen attorney Randy Kessler, who seems to be in on the big fat lie.

Randall Kessler, NeNe?s divorce attorney, was a dead end. He declined to comment at the request of NeNe. He provided me no guidance to find any public record of a divorce filing.

Now?Rodney is on the warpath?in search of the seemingly non-existent divorce documents

We can?t find anything. There was nothing in Gwinnett County.? Nothing in DeKalb County, where Gregory lived at the time they had gotten married around 1997. I also visited Fulton County Courthouse this afternoon. That?s where NeNe had a home at some point in the late 1990s. Nada.

[UPDATE: A reader below says NeNe actually lives in South Forsyth County so I’ll check them tomorrow for the paperwork.]

That doesn?t mean paperwork doesn?t exist. But nobody else that I know of has found any proof of a divorce either.

I don?t even know where they filed their paperwork to get a marriage certificate. I couldn?t find any evidence in either Fulton or DeKalb courthouses today. I did find info on Greg?s first marriage dating back to 1974.

[UPDATE: A kind blog reader below said they married in Athens-Clarke County. I will check tomorrow to confirm that.]

We all know that once you start a lie you have to continue selling it. Especially in front of the cameras. Sheree Whitfield is proof of that.

But with NeNe being the ‘fan favorite’ it’s baffling why she would feel the need to have to lie about her relationships status.

Well… besides that rumored spin-off show Nene had in the works that was supposedly about her new ‘single life’ in L.A.

But I digress.

Is she or isn’t she?
