While we can always turn to celebrity hairstylist Derek J and/or The Mean Girls of Morehouse for a glimpse at men in pumps, today it’s all about stylish legwear and unfortunately men in pantyhose aka “Mantyhose” is the next big thing…

Chan Kraemer, the man in the photo above, is the founder of this new trend in men’s fashion and he’s created an entire online community of “mantyhose enthusiasts” via his website.
Kraemer explains his “mantyhose” concept, stating:
We believe that pantyhose for men can be an everyday clothing item, and that it can be fashionable as well.
We want to promote / achieve gender equality for men, to eradicate sexism that is attached to us by forcing men to the classical macho roles and to a limited number of acceptable clothes / outfits. (And by the way, are all the women who wear ?trousers crossdressers?)

not promoting the eradication of the males, fathers, families or any gender roles that are needed for our culture and society
The men who choose to rock this fashion trend, wear the tights like long johns, beneath their pants as an extra layer. However, there are some fashionista’s who may actually rock them with shorts and sneakers.

So yes… men feel like they need that lil extra control top sometimes too and while Spanx now offers Manx for men, is it any wonder that pantyhose would transition to “mantyhose”?
Men in tights is nothing new… think back to the days of King Henry VII, Robin Hood etc.
They say what’s old is new again, and if that’s true then perhaps it’s time for men in tights to make a “comeback”. *shrug*
While I personally wouldn’t want to roll with a guy rocking tights, I wouldn’t trip if he happened to have on a mirdle (or man girdle) or a manx… but mantyhose is a bit much!
