One of the suspects involved in the beating, Christopher Cain, 19, was arrested last week and charged with aggravated assault, participation in a criminal street gang, robbery by force and burglary.
And now a 2nd man has turned himself in…
It?s really important, despite what you may have seen on TV, or on YouTube, that everyone has a presumption of innocence ? that cloaks them until and unless a jury of their peers finds them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
According to the AJC, the FBI joined with Atlanta police to track down the suspects, and federal authorities have been investigating the incident as a hate crime.
Moragne attorney states:
Mr. Moragne isn?t guilty of a hate crime.
He is a young man who has the potential of being a good person in the future. He has no feeling of hate for anyone, regardless of age, race, religion or sexual orientation.
Authorities are still seeking the third man who has not been identified.
Moragne will be charged with robbery and aggravated assault in the Brandon White case and he already has a long rap sheet that includes charges ranging from identify fraud to theft by receiving.? He’s been in Fulton County jail’s system since he was 16 years old.
