I have to admit watching Kim yell at Sweetie was a bit hard at times, and while I’ve heard first hand that the two were actually really close friends, I can almost understand the whole “Free Sweetie” campaign that started after NeNe’s harsh comments.
I told you way back in September 2011, that Sweetie had been freed fired from her job after Kim’s daughter Brielle let the word slip out via a social networking site and life has gone on Sweetie, who’s currently a 24 year old college student.
Things made a drastic change for Hughes when someone created a rumor about her being fired for stealing.
When I spoke with Sweetie, that was one of the many things she addressed:
I seen it twitter… some person tweeted me point blank ‘did you steal from Kim?’ and it was my first time hearing about it. That shit is crazy! Do you know how much money I handled for Kim. As her assistant I had bank account access and all that… something that other assistants never had the opportunity to get that far… so as far as loyalty it’s been very high.
I think someone just made it up and I realize that out of every assistant she’s ever had, I’m the one they always talk about…? they always try to keep my name out there, which is cool, it ain’t hurting me.
To be honest, I really don’t even know… I guess it was just spur of the moment.
I just happened to know her so well it just worked out. She had so many different assistants it just worked out. I worked for her way before she was famous. I did the same thing I was doing now back then… at the age of 15.
The only thing I couldn’t do back then was drive…. coffee… scheduled appointments… I did it all.
Kim and Sweetie are actually still good friends and Zolciak has even gone on record to say that Hughes never stole from her…
Again… for clarity… I asked Sweetie why did she feel she was given the boot. Her response…
I don’t want to bash nobody. The one thing I have is loyalty. A lot of people don’t have that and that’s the one thing I have.
I was supposed to… I actually quit in the beginning and was like.. you know… I have school and stuff… but agreed to work until she found another assistant.
And it so happens I just continued to work… but we went back and forth basically and it just went on and on.
Did she call me and while I was on my way to work to say not to come in to work or ‘its not gonna work out’? Yeah she did but I been asking for that about a year ago.
I guess it’s a lot of stress, a lot of filming going on… but it’s not like it was on a really bad note.
When I asked Sweetie about that, she chose not to answer, simply stating that Kroy was “cool”…
Yeah… he’s cool. He cool.? That’s all I’ve got to say. I prefer not to… umm…? We’re just better off cool.
There’s only so much someone can take.
