Monyetta Shaw, the girlfriend/baby mama of Atlanta-based R&B star Ne-Yo, is said to be in a very charitable spirit.

Shaw and Ne-Yo (Shaffer Chimere Smith Jr.) already have two children together, daughter Madilyn Grace Smith (born 11/12/2010) and son born less than a year later, Mason Evan Smith (born 10/09/2011) but it’s clear they have plenty of dough to go around.
So what does Shaw do? She “adopts” 48 hungry African children.

According to TMZ, “Football Wives” star Chanita Foster, wife of former Georgia Bulldog George Foster and founder of “Beyond the Game,” a charity created to provide children in Swaziland with food, clothes, and education, reached out to Monyetta about sponsoring a child or two… or three… and Monyetta agreed..
…we’re told, once Monyetta saw the 48 young faces in the charity’s brochure — she fell in love … and insisted on adopting all of them.
Each kid costs roughly $30 a month — and Monyetta adopted 48 for an entire year … which means she’s in for $17,280. Not bad.
Of course, to provide similar care in the U.S. would run roughly the same … PER CHILD
Charity should always start at home…. but at least it started somewhere.? But why now?
