Soul Train Founder Don Cornelius Honored With Flash Mob Tribute in NYC’s Time Square [PHOTOS + VIDEO]

They had a stone cold blast earlier in New York City’s Times Square yesterday (February 4, 2012) as fans of Soul Train boogied down Broadway rocking afro wigs and bell bottoms in tribute to the show’s, Don Cornelius.

It was the ‘hippest trip in America’ as about 100 dancers descended upon Times Square in a flash mob organized through the internet.? Startled tourists looked on, but eventually joined in once they realized they were a part of one huge Soul Train line!

Awesome!

Can you imagine a thousand people doing the electric slide in the middle of Times Square? Well you don’t have to because there’s video of it!
