Monica‘s “New Life” artwork was released recently and she’s giving us nothing but face!? The album’s release date has also been changed to February 21, 2012.
The cover is a beautiful work of art, but there is speculation that Mo’s “New Life” project has a meaning other than her marital status to NBA baller Shannon Brown.
Could the sultry songstress be keeping her pregnancy under wraps?? All signs point to “yes” due to the fact that Monica (last name Brown) has been spotted on more than one occasion rocking what could easily be described as maternity gear.
The rumors started back in September, when Mo and her boo hit up For Sister’s Only in Atlanta. A month later, Mo was also spotted performing at Howard University’s Homecoming, where her attire suggested another bump sighting.
Recently, Mo was honored at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Awards in NYC, where she addressed all those pesky pregnancy rumors.

Clearly… all the speculation surrounding Mo’s waistline has caused her to speak out about the subject. Mo’s friend SandraRose even alluded to the fact that Mo was keeping her pregnancy a secret (for now).
GG caught up with Monica and asked if there were any baby plans in her future:
Absolutely I’m young, he’s young and we want to have that between the two of us, but right now we are enjoying the three that we have blended together.
We have little Shannon, we have Rodney and we have Romello. So we are enjoying the three of them right now.
They also inquired about how Mo is adjusting to being a ‘basketball wife’:
I always say ‘I’m Shannon Brown’s wife’. I don’t look at the title of what he does, basketball, as the leading ideal of what I am as a wife. Because no matter what career path he chooses, I’m his wife, not a basketball wife.
I just look at it like we have two different jobs that are some times complex, but wanting our marriage to work it’s easy for us to?prioritize?and do what we need to do.
While Mo’s pooch was definitely under wraps at the ASCAP awards, those cubby cheeks say “preggers” to me…. AND she didn’t actually say she’s NOT pregnant.
Only time will tell…
