Nappy Dot Org is the latest offering from Nappy Roots and they enlisted Atlanta-based production trio Organized Noize to produce the new album.
Organized Noize members Rico Wade, Ray Murray and Sleepy Brown, fellow ATLiens known for creating hits with OutKast, Goodie Mob and the rest of the Dungeon Family, took on the task producing tracks that accentuated Nappy Roots’ signature “country boy” sound.
How can we ever forget the addictive twang of “AwNaw (Hell Naw)“?
Well dem country boys are still on the rise and the quintet reaches new hights with this recent 11-track offering.
The Dungeon Family collective doesn’t just stop with the Organized Noize trio. Big Rube lends his sexy poetic vocals to ?The Legend Lives On,? the album’s intro created to reintroduce the group, while The Goodie Mob’s Khujo Goodie adds to the party song ?Pete Rose.?
We?ve been credited with creating the ?Sound of the South,? and Nappy Roots is considered the ?Conscience of the South,? so it?s great that Nappy wanted to work with us.? People are going to be impressed by this album. ~ Rico Wade
With Nappy Dot Org, the crew gives fans more down home country boy raps filled with plenty of impassioned lyrics with that “A” town feel that Organized Noize is famous for.
