The “A” Pod ~ Young Dro ~ “Racked Up”

Young Dro, my favorite fellow Bunche Middle School alum and self-professed “Crack counselor” has finally stepped out of the polo shop and back into the studio!

It seems like it’s been forever since “Best Thang Smokin” (“FOREVER” meaning about five years) but Dro is set to finally release his sophomore album.

The new project, entitled (what else?) “P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once)” is scheduled to be released sometime this winter on Grand Hustle/eOne/Atlantic Records later this year… in the meantime, a single from the project — “Racked Up” has been bumpin in the streets.

Listen to Dro’s “Racked Up” below:

Young Dro ~ Racked Up

Dro revealed to HipHopisWired:

It’s been a long time coming, and I had to really get focused. We were releasing my album in 2008, but the album leaked and that took a lot out of me.

I stayed busy with mixtapes, club shows across the U.S. and the Grind N Hustle tour. We decided to sit down with Atlantic Records and do a venture with eOne Music and here we are…. Racked up!

So what’s the verdict on Dro’s first studio single in 5 years?

BUMP it or DUMP it?
