Atlanta?s own Derek J returns for season 2 of Oxygen’s “Hair Battle Spectacular” and was spotted last night in “all gold everything”… rocking short shorts and pumps on the red carpet of the premiere party held at Ricky’s NYC Revolver Salon last night (August 15, 2011).
Derek returns to the show in his role as the primary mentor and judge.
Derek, owner of Atlanta’s The J. Spot salon, is the only original judge returning from Season 1.
?Baywatch? actress Brooke Burns is also gone as the hostess, replaced by former ?America?s Next Top Model? winner Eva Marcille.

In addition to Eva, other changes to the show include the addition of Taylor Jacobson as a judge (who replaces Lindsay Alabanese from Season 1).
Jacobson formerly worked for celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe as an assistant. Zoe reportedly fired her in 2009 over alleged missing clothing.
