Bobby Brown and his New Edition brethren hit up DJ Cassidy’s 30th birthday bash in NYC last week (July 6, 2011).
The event was sponsored by Hennessy Black and while Johnny Gill may have admitted backstage during the 2011 Essence Festival he’s been praying over Bobby’s soul, it’s quite apparent that the “KING of R&B” isn’t ready to graduate from his 12 step program.

Bobby Brown caused a ruckus at DJ Cassidy’s 30th birthday party on the USS Intrepid by pulling a waitress’s hair when she walked away from him as they were talking.
R&B bad-boy Brown got into a tangle with the catering staffer before he performed with his ’80s band New Edition at Cassidy’s celebrity-packed birthday bash onboard the aircraft carrier Wednesday night.
But wait… there’s more!
During the band’s sound check earlier that evening, Bobby was talking to one of the waitresses, but she walked away from the conversation before he was finished talking. Then Bobby pulled her ponytail. She complained to her bosses, and Intrepid security called event organizers.
Our source said when Brown, famed for his troubled marriage to Whitney Houston, and his team returned to the Intrepid for the event, ?security spoke to Bobby?s management and the situation was resolved.?
A rep for Brown confirmed the incident, saying, “It wasn’t anything detrimental or anything. He did it in a playful way and it was fine. It was a misunderstanding. Everything was fine; no one had any issues.”

In addition to Bobby snatching that chick’s phony pony, New Edition had another issue prior to their performance.? No clothes!
…the band arrived later than expected because their stylist, Scott Julion, arrived late after his flight from New Orleans was diverted to Baltimore.
“He made it in time for the gig, and the band got dressed as fast as they could,” said a rep for New Edition.? (source)
Johnny needs to pray more and Bobby needs to drink less.? I’m rooting for them though…
