Tawanna Iverson, Atlanta transplant and wife of former NBA basketball star Allen Iverson has filed dem “Papers” against her husband and is seeking a divorce.
This is the the second time Tawanna has filed divorce from the former NBA star. She filed for divorce the first time back in March 2010, citing the marriage was ?irretrievably broken? but decided to give their 9 year union another try.
New documents were filed on June 13, 2011 in Fulton County Superior Court (court document) and despite widespread rumors of Allen’s cheating ways, Tawanna wants you to know that “cheating” was not a factor…
Tawanna explains:
?Cheating in the marriage has never been an issue. My decision to divorce has nothing to do with another woman.?
Tawanna ? who described her 10-year marriage in divorce papers as ?irretreivably broken? ? explains, ?Sometimes people just grow apart and it?s just that simple.?
She adds, ?Many people want this to be more complicated than that and it?s not.? (source)
On another note, the 2007 Lamborghini Murcielago that got AI so much attention a few months ago is still sitting in the impound lot…

Apparently that dealer tag wasn’t good after all and AI still hasn’t come up with the cash for the tags.
ATLien ~ u remember that piece u ran on allen iverson and his lambo? that damn lambo is still impounded?!?!? >>> (source)
From what i understand it can only be impounded for so long before it goes up for an auction (and we all know that car go cheap at auction lol) and the point his wife re-filed for divorce again.? damn that ninja cant get a break! ~ SilentbutSmart
If you’ve never had your car towed in the “A” over a tag issue let ME clue you in… [yes I’ve been there don’t judge me!] You are required to PAY ALL of the outstanding ad volrem taxes on your vehicle AND provide a receipt to the City of Atlanta BEFORE you can get a release for your vehicle.
Once you provide the proof of payment from the tag office, you are given a clearance form that you have to present to the impound lot.
I say all that to say… when Iverson told the officer “Take it I have 10 more” I guess he meant it…
Get your bids ready. If it’s there longer than 90 days, I think they auction it off.
But I digress…
Since this is the 2nd divorce filing for the Iversons, there may be a small chance that they’ll try to make it work again. Or not…. I mean “FOREVER” is mighty long time… right?
Question:? How many times should a couple try to work it out before they just throw in the towel?
