Single ladies… meet Junrey Balawing of the Philippines.
On Sunday June 12, 2011, Balawing received the honor of officially becoming “the world’s shortest living man,” measuring just 23.6 inches (59.93cm) tall.
At birth, Junrey was the size of a 1-litre coke bottle. His mother started to suspect something wasn’t right when Junrey was four years old any smaller than his friends.
His family sought advice and he was given medication to strengthen his bones, but these made no difference.? Junrey, who now weighs only 5kg, became eligible for the record over the weekend as he celebrated his 18th birthday and was measured by Guinness World Records officials.
Asked what he hoped for now he’s the world?s shortest man, Junrey, said:
“I like beer and I want a beautiful wife,” before adding? “She?ll probably be taller than me.”
Are you’re in the market for a potential mate? Will you travel the world for a perfect match?
Don’t count him out just cause he’s short… they say, good things come in small packages!

** Junrey lives with his parents and three younger siblings in in Sindangan, a coastal village in the southern Philippines (i.e. exotic locale + free rent!)
** His parents say Junrey has not grown since his first birthday and consider him a good luck charm, saying the families fortunes turned around after he was born. (They have a lil bit of dough… shopping sprees!)
** He sleeps in their bed and says he loves watching TV with war films being his favorite viewing. His favorite food is pork. He can eat about two (normal size) fingers’ worth at a meal, with a small helping of rice. (Low maintenance grocery costs, less time in the kitchen)
** And… he just turned 18!!!?? JACKPOT…
