After news hit the net that Whitney Houston had been banned from attending any more of his concerts, Prince went out of his way to release a statement disputing the reports.
Whitney had previously attended several concerts over the past few weeks and even partied front stage with daughter Bobbi Kristina (watch video).
Apparently the “Purple Rain” singer had no idea Whitney had been blacklisted from his concerts wants everyone to know that Whitney is “always welcome 4 all of eternity.”
TMZ says they conformed the ban with several connected to the tour and sticks by the original story.
Yesterday (May 11, 2010), Prince’s manager released an official statement saying Houston can come back whenever she wants and despite earlier claims that Whitney’s “erratic behavior” at the concerts was a problem, insists the singer enjoys having her in his audience.
Another Prince insider attempted to explain how the misunderstanding could have occured, stating:
Someone could have taken it upon themselves to say Whitney was banned … but it did not come from Prince.? Whoever decided Whitney was banned did not have the authority to do so.
In other words, someone’s about to get the boot…
