A few days ago (March 28), I had the honor of dining with the Braxtons at Atlanta’s AJA Restaurant.
WE tv hosted a press dinner and advance screening of the family’s upcoming reality series “Braxton Family Values”.? I took a day off of dieting and we all dished the dirt over honey ginger chicken and cocktails.
Grammy-winning superstar Toni Braxton, her sisters Traci, Towanda, Trina, and Tamar along with mom Evelyn were honest and open as they discussed everything from Toni’s well-known financial difficulties to failed marriages to the sister’s issues with background singing.

“A lot of things will be revealed on the show that will explain some of the situations I’ve been in over the last couple years,” said Toni, adding with a smile: “But you gotta watch and see.”

Meet the Braxtons ~ Sisters: Traci, Tamar, Toni, Towanda, Trina, Mom Evelyn
Each and every one of the sisters is different and distinct and most women will see themselves in at least one of them, which is what I feel will be the show’s strength.
Marital issues, raising children, balancing career goals with family obligations and sibling rivalry are just some of the things you can expect from the new show.
Mama Braxton, my personal favorite, even discusses the difficulties she had dealing with divorce after 35 years of marriage. Being the matriarch of the family, Evelyn Braxton still stands strong through her own trials while walking her daughters through theirs.

Traci Braxton said it best.? When asked what they wanted people to take away from the show, Traci declared, “Every woman is a Braxton.”
It was touching to see how the family interacted with each other and I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining the show is. That being said, check out a sneak peek of “Braxton Family Values” below:

Braxton Family Values premieres on Tuesday, April 12 at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv.
