Shannon Price Wants to Wear Gary Coleman Around Her Neck…

Child star Gary Coleman passed away May 28, 2010 and while it’s been almost a year, his controversial ex, Shannon Price, is still battling over control of Coleman’s estate — and his remains.

As I was perusing Starcasm this weekend, I found out that while Coleman’s spirit may be in a better place but his remains are still sitting in an office… and his crazy ex is still sitting in court (or at least she will be again next month).

Coleman’s former business manager and girlfriend Anna Gray, is the sole benefactor of the former child star’s 2005 will., but Price is still pursuing her ongoing legal fight to secure her claim on Coleman’s remaining assets.

While the bitter feud over Coleman’s estate continues, sadly his ashes still remain under lock & key in an attorney’s office.

It is Shannon’s hope that a judge will rule in her favor so that she can secure his remains.? She wants to keep him very close to her heart… literally!

So in essence, the same chick who sold Coleman’s deathbed photos for $10,000 — the same chick who said she only pulled the plug because he would have died anyway — wants to wear his remains around her neck?!?!? GTFOH!!!

Details below:Coleman is best known for his role as Arnold on the 80’s sitcom, Diff’rent Strokes, but in recent years has been plagued issues that I’m not even gonna go into… because he’s gone and should be able to rest in peace.

However Radar Online indicates that Price is NOT going to let him rest until SHE can get what SHE wants….

“Shannon really wants to have a formal farewell because she still hasn’t had a chance to let him go,” says attorney spokesperson Sheila Erikson.

“He wanted his ashes spread at Golden Spike,” she said of the train enthusiast’s final wishes at the historic transcontinental railroad meeting point in Utah.

“And she wants to carry some of his ashes around her neck in a necklace,” Erickson adds. “She wants him with her all the time. This time waiting is very hard. She wants to have him with her.”

Erickson also revealed that in lieu of a formal service as his remains are not yet available to take home, Price and Gary’s friends had a birthday party for her former husband on February 8 complete with all the festive trimmings.

“We had cake and close friends of Gary’s talked about their memories of him and Shannon shared photos. It was a sad time but a happy time too,” Sheilia says. “She misses him and it was a time for his friends to get together informally. We wanted to cheer her up. We wanted something positive to come through a negative situation.”
