Phaedra Parks and her hubby Apollo hit up Ted Turner’s Captain Planet Anniversary celebration last week where they posed for the lovely picture above.
The cute couple was featured on Bravo’s What Happens Now last night, where Phaedra & Apollo finally got to explain herself and the way she’s perceived on the show.
A few things they touched on included those pickle pictures, the due date discrepancy, how they met on the highway and more.

Apollo on how he met his wife Phaedra:
Back in 1996, I was on 285 near the Chattahoochee bridge stuck in traffic. We’re in rush hour traffic and I look to my left and see this pretty young thing.? I asked her to roll her window down and she wouldn’t. I’m like ‘roll the window down give me your number’…
so I chased her through traffic for a little bit and the next thing you know we’re merging on the same exit. So she’s like follow me. And I followed her to her house.
We exchanged numbers and we started dating from there. I lied about my age. (I’m younger… about 4 years). She was in law school and I was in high school at the time.

Phaedra On the due date discrepancy:
At the end of the day, I had a high risk pregnancy and a lot of things weren’t shown on camera that was going on with the preganancy. While I know these young ladies and we have a relationship, they are not my closest of friends. Everyone close to me knew what were going on with the pregnancy. I needed people who were prayerful people (not saying that none of these ladies aren’t) but I needed people who were going to be supportive of me.
I think you can see from watching the show that these ladies were not very nice to me. Kind of like the mean girls of Atlanta. They seemed to be interested in salacious gossip instead of how I was doing. So I chose to keep things private.
