Monica has found a new love and it’s in the form of Lakers baller Shannon Brown!? The two were love interests on film in Mo’s video for “Love All Over Me” and are now officially an item.
The two have been spotted together all over the country and they’ve already had issues in the media. One site even labeled Mo a “homewrecker,” stating that stole her new man away from his baby mama of seven years.
The rumor mill started buzzing after it was reported that Brown ditched his baby mama, Sharde, (and her wedding plans), to get booed up with Monica and Shannon, being the stand up guy that he is, quickly dispelled that nasty chatter and set the record straight about the situation.
In a message posted to his Twittter account on Saturday, Shannon writes:
I write this to set the record straight. Media deception makes unfair and false reports of the truth, and it does not bring out the best in ANYONE. Monica is my girlfriend, confidant and a strong successful women that has been though a lot herself but she is in no way, a home wrecker. As a parent, I understand that parenting requires a partnership with my sons mother however the relationship between us fizzled a long time ago. Thus, never leading up to seven years, engagement or even talks of marriage. As parents, we have to continue to raise our son, and as individuals we both deserve happiness.?
