Foxy Brown Arrested in NYC?

Rapptress Foxy Brown aka Inga Marchand (shown above in an unrelated mugshot) was arrested yesterday in New York for allegedly violating a protective order.

According to police records, Brown was arrested after having a run-in with neighbor who has a restraining order against her and contrary to popular belief, Lil Kim had absolutely nothing to do with it!

The neighbor, Arlene Raymond, is the same individual that Brown was accused of striking with a Blackberry mobile device back on July 30, 2007, when Raymond complained that Brown was playing her car stereo too loud. Brown then ran into Raymond a few days later. “Brown hurled her BlackBerry at her [Raymond], cutting her lip and knocking a tooth loose,” authorities reported at the time.

This time, the 31-year-old rapper was taken into custody in Brooklyn Wednesday for allegedly violating an order of protection after she and Arlene exchanged words.

According to a source, ?They were getting into each other?s face.? Another source said the B-word was spoken by a fuming Foxy as the pair squared off at 151 St. Marks in Fort Greene, NY. Neighbors stepped in and held Foxy before any contact was made, according to another source.

Brown?s manager Bernadette Brennan revealed that the incident started when the singer was rehearsing outside for her upcoming show at the B.B. King Blues Club in New York.

Brown?s activity upset Arlene, who later came outside and started screaming at her. But, Brown ignored her and she went inside to avoid further confrontation, that?s when the cops showed up.

Meanwhile, Brown has been released on $50,000 bail and Chaz Williams, who is also Brown?s manager, said the charges are false.

Brown has a history of legal run-ins. In 1997, she spat on two hotel employees in North Carolina when they informed her they didn’t have an iron; she missed a court appearance and turned herself in after a warrant was issued. She was ordered to do 80 hours of community service.

Back in 2004, she attacked two manicurists after a dispute over a $20 bill that she refused to pay; she earned three years of probation and had to take anger-management classes.

She also was sentenced to one year in jail in 2007 for violating her probation from the altercation with the nail techs; she was given 76 days in solitary confinement after having a physical altercation with another prisoner.
